“okay, sweetie.” jessica said into the phone, back to the door as she stood behind the counter, taking a phone call from her daughter. “i’ll pick you up from practice in about an hour, and make sure you get changed quick, we have dinner at grandma and grandpa’s at seven. okay? love you too.” she said, hanging up the phone as she moved to take care of the customer that had entered while she was on the phone. “sorry, had to take that call how can i-” she said, stopping mid sentence when she realized just who it was standing in front of her, pleasant disposition immediately dropped. “what the hell are you doing here?”
