“The waters still nice and warm, I think the walls of the tub are heated to keep it like that.” She tells him, moving her hand to feel the tile at the edge of the tub, wondering if she was right about her guess. 

He still wasn’t convinced. He felt he knew Velum well enough by now to suspect that she was just being polite despite the awkwardness. It was just in her nature, a fact that bothered him more than he’d have liked to admit.

Regardless of what he thought, though, there was still the possibility that this would grant some leverage when Prorok inevitably came swooping in for details on certain delicate matters which were none of his concern. It felt as though the Commander was more content with the potential for gossip than he would have been with having another skirt to chase.

This was something she hadn’t done before, at least, not with someone who wasn’t part of her family. Thinking on it, she hadn’t bathed with another person since she had last been home, and her mom had insisted on it. The memory is comforting, and while she got the feeling they wouldn’t be scrubbing each others backs; maybe it would be pleasant to relax with Thace in the bath like this.

“After that you can tell me to move along all you like.” She adds, and slows down to make sure she wasn’t rushing him. Poor thing. As she noticed him leaning more towards one side, she moves there, in case he decides he needs something to lean on.
